Default genuinewriting & sameday research

One of our member writers has reported with evidence that www.genuinewriting.com and www.samedayresearch.com, both reportedly owned by The Educators are located outside the US though they give the impression of being US-based, pay as low as US$4.00 per page to their writers in Asia though they claim to have native English writers who are paid minimum of US$9.95 per page, get papers written from their writers in Times New Roman 12 point and convert them into Courier 12 point while forwarding them to their customers, thus depriving the writers of on-third of the pages, impose fines of all kinds and styles on their writers to further deprive them of their hard-earned money and delay payment to writers as far as possible.

Default $4 per page

I'm sure Nike pay less than this. What about the call centres. Aren't many of our western jobs heading to Asia?

Default genuinewriting.com & samedayresearch.com

We are a research writing firm based in Pakistan. We provided our services to the www.eswo.net who claim to have the websites www.genuinewriting.com and www.samedayresearch.com. When our due payment crossed US$500, they started delaying payment on one pretext or the other. Ultimately, they asked us to prove our identity by sending us photocopy of the passport. That was not a part of the our agreement with them. Still,we agreed to it and asked them to send us their company's full name, mailing address and telephone number which they refused to provide and instead asked us to send the photocopy to a 'dubious' fax number in the US.

Can anybody send such an important document to a 'dubious' fax number?

Default Here's what actually happened

This is Kirk Pumphrey from eswo.net. I have been sent this link by our former writer who posted the message. I feel I am obligated to respond to this to shield the reputation of our reputable firm. The person who posted this message worked as a writer for our company for over 2 months. He sent his application to samedayresearch.com and genuinewriting.com, the sites that we operate.

PROFILE

Name: Ali Thawarani (fake name, no ID provided, academic_rc@yahoo.com). Lest other employers have a mischief of running into this guy who works from Pakistan and uses fake names, I provide his banking details (account number is not disclosed for security reasons):

Bank Account detais:
Beneficiary name: Yasmeen
Bank: Faysal Bank Ltd, Karachi, Pakistan

Here are his stats:

Total number of Orders: 39
Refunds: 1
Overdue/Failed Delivery: 17
Earnings paid: $378.5

The quality of work provided was substandard and most of the time the writing was either plagiarized or was sent in broken English, here are just some of the testimonials from our clients (real testimonials):

hanosh2040@hotmail.com
hi orovider,
im sorry for this.. but my writer is not going with my essay topice and my teacher instructions .. the essay is still far from the topic i alr
eady sent for my writer the outlines and my teacher instructions

thedove43@aol.com
I have received an incorrectly written paper. After I submitted my request, I faxed further instructions within a half hour of the request. I received confirmat
ions on the receipt of these faxes.

thehern54@hotmail.com
Not to sound to kirt, but this paper isn't what I ask for. For one the subject matter isn't even what I requested, it wasn't to be on the war in Iraq, but on the military base closures around the country. Also the font used, courior, is the oldest trick in the book, the website said that it would be done in a different font. Plus the spacing inbetween paragraph is unexceptable. the margins are also not correct, it was said that they would be on inch and they are not. I don't mean to sound harsh or mean, but the fact is I paid good money for something that isn't what I was garanteed.

STORY

We were forced to terminate the guy's account after he wasted a 39 page Ph.D. level dissertation, and sent a cut/paste compiled trash to the client who happened to discover the fraud. The thing was that plagiarism was not detectable, we used our software, google, mydropbox.com. The guy used materials taken from Questia.com and other people's dessertations available in PDF files at the university sites. One of the files used is http://www.psych.umn.edu/faculty/bon...rdanceWork.pdf

The client contacted out merchant account provider in the US and they cancelled the order straight up. Thereafter, Mr. Ali Thawarani (aka Mr. Piracha Mumtaz - we suspect it is the same person, he is from Karachi, also worked for us for over 2 years, had rather good writers but then started to demand an increase in rates and we had to terminate our partnership with the guy, then 2 days later we received an application from Mr. Ali Thawarani - what a coincidence???)

When we explained that the writer would not be paid for the plagiairized order, Ali Thawarani (Piracha Mumtaz) said that he would not accept such a decision because "HIS PLAGIARISM REPORT" showed no plagiarism. Isn't that funny?

Currently we have $100 of his earnings frozen to protect our firm from future claims as most works lack in quality. If you happen to employ this guy (again his real name might be either Yasmeen or Mr. Piracha Mumtaz), I call for your consideration and scrutiny in checking his work.

Another funny thing about this guy is that when we requested a copy of his ID to be sent to our fax numbers:

1-866-304-2701 or 1-775-258-9759

What we got in response was "Can anybody send such an important document to a 'dubious' fax number?"

So it is up to you to decide.

I think it is interesting that someone from ewso.net responsed here. I started working for eswo.net about a month and a half ago and I have yet to see a paycheck. According to the guidelines in the SW Manual and the SW Agreement, payment is supposed to be received on the 15th of the month. However, it is the 29th of March and I have yet to see any money owed to me. I have left two help tickets that have gone unanswered. One on March 8 about pay, and the second on March 16 about the current pay. Neither of these have been answered, although it says they will be answered within 48 hours.

What is even more interesting for me is that I am getting NO response. Orders are continuing to be loaded, and people are taking orders but for some reason, I STILL haven't received any payment or explanation.

Now, my work doesn't come back for revisions. Heck, I spent 10 years as a college professor so ther are no problems with my papers -- at least not that I am aware of nor that I have been told about so I am not sure why I haven't been paid.

I hope that Kirk does pay attention and answer me somewhere. Although he states that his firm is "reputable" I am not sure. I would think that good customer service would be to at leat get back to people about what is going on if there is a problem.

One final note...when I asked about payment in another ticket dated March 1, 2008 it was responded to on March 2, 2008 at 3:44 and said that "payment is immediate" and would go to my paypal account. I STILL haven't seen it.(Sorry don't know why this font changed!) We can see that at least in this case, there is a lie.

So my question is...is he lying to you? Is he lying to people who are working for him? He's the only one to answer that question...so as he said "It is up to you to decide."

Default Re: Update on eswo.net

After I posted here, I finally received payment. I have no idea why it was delayed until today, but it was given. So, I will wait to see what else happens with them. But, I have no more beef.

Default Re: genuinewriting & sameday research

Greetings

My name is James Short, though I use the nom de plume of Tabren Wyldstar.

First, let me say I have been working with the company in question for almost a year as a freelance writer. Working part time for them, I have earned almost $6,000 over the past year and have had only one incident of delayed payment due to the company paymaster having a family emergency.

While it is easy for an individual to get upset over an unexplained delay, there may be good reasons behind it. Administrators are human as well. They get sick. They have family emergencies. Sometimes they get distracted or confused and something falls through the cracks, ending up forgotten unintentionally or delayed through no intentional fault.

While I cannot speak regarding the complaining individual (I do not personally know him or of him other than this string), I can speak of my own experiences. In the United States, any subcontractor or freelancer who is paid more than $600 in a year is required to give identification information for tax preparation purposes. Thus companies must request identification documents to ensure they are in compliance with the law. When I was asked for my identification, I did not hesitate. It was, and remains, an understandable request by the administration.

If the administration has reported the individual's stats correctly (and in my experience I have no reason to doubt their accuracy) then it is no wonder the individual was dismissed from the company's contracted writers. I personally have had only two deadlines missed in the past year, both times cleared with admin and the client and both completed within 24-48 hours after the deadline. I have had only two client ratings below 9, both times speaking with the client and gaining valuable feedback to improve my performance.

From my own experience, I would rate the vast majority of my fellow writers as dedicated professionals who, as I, go beyond the call of duty in timely delivery of assignments and in plagiarism-prevention efforts. I, myself, use mind-mapping software to keep track of all research information and sources in an effort to prevent even accidental plagiarism. I keep a plagiarism detector on my computer and run every article through it prior to submission, though I know staff also performs such checks. Additionally, I run each paper through a readability checker to ensure the document is adequate in that aspect as well.

It is easy today, thanks to the Internet, for disgruntled ex-employees of a company to post "grievances" like the one earlier in this string. The writing industry is not alone in this problem. What has changed is the ability of companies, and individuals like myself, to respond to these "grievances" in a timely manner.

Lastly, to avoid any accusations of being a company staff member, I shall include my personal contact information.

I may be emailed at tabren_wyldstar@activist.com or at jameslshortjr@yahoo.com.
Those who wish to speak to me in person to verify the statements I have made may contact me at (303) 963-6372
