We are blowing out! - I can't even quote fast enough!
HELP!
Here is a short snippet of a communication with a client yesterday:
"As you know to get the turnaround time you need, I needed to hire quite a bit of manpower.
Here is the process and what has occurred so far.
I put together a very definitive document describing the Site layout and functionary properties.
I hired a top Houston Web Development/
SEO company with development teams in several countries.
The selected design team has already been working on your Site and has moved it ahead of everything else on their plate.
I just got off the phone with the development company owner and he indicated that he had rejected the first “mockup” today.
The approval process:
1st – Owner of development company. (He has a good feel for the public and is back-logged by 30 websites right now). He indicated to me that even though it was almost midnight in their country right now, they were still there working on your Site redesign.
2nd – Approval by me, ultimately responsible to my client. I am a new client of theirs and they want to please all of us.
3rd – You the Site owner – We will do our best to provide a Site layout that pleases our client as quickly as possible, meeting very tight timelines in your case.
Anywhere along the approval path a proposed design can be “canned” or altered until we have it right. This sounds complicated, but it should save on your time in the process while meeting your favor.
We are orchestrating a multifaceted
SEO/SEM project in the first phase here. Our primary goal is turn you around where that you see increased business in the shortest time possible. Upon review we determined that there were a number of issues that should help when dealt with:
Phase1
1) New Site Design for increased customer conversion with a more Customer and Search Engine friendly design and fresh appeal.
2) Increase Search Engine Friendliness and Improve Search Engine Indexing and subsequent SERPs
a) Remove ALL 302 Temporary redirects and convert those to Permanent 301s.
b) Examine and Review aspx.net technology and best SE practices
c) Implement database inputs and page structure where necessary to improve SE indexing
d) Utilize the recently introduced “GOOGLE Sitemaps” technology by GOOGLE specifically designed to better index you type of Site.
e) Rewrite some of the ad-copy, page titles and metatags on the main pages to optimize keyword and keyphrase presentation.
f) Include and Reprioritize Product Category Links on every page including the home page
3) Site Marketing
a) Write and submit a Press release concerning your new Site launch and new products/product lines.
b) Write and submit a nice Article about your company and how you formed your business, where it has gone and what is available for other entrepreneurs.
c) Research competitor link listings for different categories and manually submit listings to up 100 more relevant directories per agreement.
d) Deployment of your opt-in mail list sign-up form on every Site page in a prominent easy to find location.
Phase 2 (Not included in original quote) – Among other projects we will probably need to:
A) review your e-mail campaign format and technology for customer capture and appeal, as well as technology used, and compatibility with spam filters
B) Review the potential and additional effort required for the addition of a Wholesale Merchandise Blog on your Site
C) Look at the cost and value of joining BBB-online and being able to use their logo on every page
D) Review any existing PPC programs in light of recent changes at GOOGLE and Yahoo. Determine if keywords are best choices and if being managed to fullest potential. Determine whether new program features such as targeted Sites could enhance click thru. Determine if any of the other many PPC programs hold sufficient value potential. Review any currently used or needed PPC program management and tracking software.
I believe you are in good hands and will receive better than expected value for our fees. We sincerely want to help make a positive impact on your on-line presence and sales as quickly as possible while helping maintain costs."
