Looks like a Google Toolbar PageRank update is going on. Our PR7 site is seeing changes to PR in the toolbar today. Anyone else noticing changes?

I really could care less about PR... It's a terrible SEO metric, but I thought I would post a pre-emptive PR update notice for those that constant ask, "When is the next PR update going to occur?" LOL

So all of you can post your "Yay! My site went from PR0 to PR2" and "WTH? my site went from PR4 to PR2? I'm I penalized?" posts here.

IMO PagerRank is like a thermometer that shows the temperature in a point, aside from the fact that it is not updated daily.

The temperature shown on the thermometer is a projection from a high dimensional unknown system to the thermometer.

People think that pagerank only will get them on the first page of the google for some keywords
As i have installed seo quake toolbar on my firefox i see pagerank for all sites in search results and i noticed in every search that there are allot of sites that have high pagerank listed way later than some websites in same niche with allot lower PR.Example if i do search on website security is saw allot of PR 0 websites on the first page on google and and allot of those with PR 3 or 4 on the 3rd or 4th page
so i think PR is not important that much in getting on first page of google
