I don't think there is an "easy" way. You need to build quality, relevant backlinks to boost PageRank. Try not tot get too caught up in PR, ranking is what is really important.

I left my old personal blog alone for a year and then all of a sudden it had a good page rank. That's the easiest strategy so far. I suppose age matters in page rank. Then again, you can only afford to do this if you have the time to wait.

My other job blog got a page rank after only two months. I didn't use backlink strategies but I think the rank came from the good traffic that came in daily. This particular blog is in demand in my local region because of its content

The only thing Page Rank tells you is the amount/relevancy/priority of backlinks pointing to your site. This has very little to do with SERPs. If you are looking for an easy way to increase one way backlinks without work then have content on your website or blog worth linking to. If you don't have this then you will need to be writing articles, participating on social bookmarking sites, and the other ways to increase backlinks.

I agree there is no easy way to increase PR but PR and SERPS aren't as separate as people say. PR is just a visual/physical representation of how many authority websites have linked back to you, which is directly related to how well your SERPS are. You can have great PR with bad SERPS if your anchor text is for low searched words, but 99% of the time you can't have great SERPS without good/great PR because the two are related. Only time where you can have amazing SERPS and low PR is when you find a great keyword that is searched a lot, you won it, and with very little backlinks. It's a good metric though, compared to just guessing.

Please realize the OP was asking about "Foolbar" PageRank. There are many many pr0 and pr1 sites outranking pr7 sites. The pagerank patent is available for viewing, the definitive papers on pagerank are available as well. I suggest you start reading. Foolbar PR calculations and SERP formulation are 2 completely seperate monsters.

There's no such thing as an easy way to get higher PR.. You need to have a lot of patience and hard work in order to find good back links.. We are not just talking about quantity, we are also talking about quality here.

One and only simple method is build quality oneway link for your site. don't build reciprocal links first when you are in the market.

I already gave up the PR battle long ago. I did all the content, backlink and other SEO stuff and all my sites are still at PR0. ANyway, I still rank at some search results.

I'll just bank on domain aging, maybe in 2 to 5 yrs.

I think there is no easy way to improve page rank , just continue with the link building process and wait for 3 mos. to get page rank . honestly i still did not understand google algorithmn in getting page rank because i always do all the link building process but still the page rank is 0 and also decrease in backlinks.
