I was using a meta tag analyzer and it said i needed to use a primary key word. What is a primary key word?
I have used several free meta tag analyzers and they have different results. I would like some help finding the best free meta tag analyzer, because going back and forth I am getting confused with different results. I need to stay with one.

Wouldn't that be key words. I was woundering if primary key word would be focusing on only one keyword for your page.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
You don't need to stick to one primary keyword, using short phrases is better. For example, the website I'm working on uses primary keywords like: Education Supplies Care Home Supplies School Equiptment Like I said in my earlier post, try to make the words reflect your content to make them relevant. Hope that answers your question. |

I hate to be the disenter but most of what is posted is misinformation.
Your primary keyword term is the one used first in your page title tag and which reflects what the page content is themed for. For example if you wrote a page of content on 'search engine marketing' then your primary keyword term would be 'search engine marketing. This then would be the first word in your page title tag <title>Search Engine Marketing</title> Now if your title was <title>Search Engine Marketing Internet Advertising</title> The secondary keyword would be 'Internet Marketing' Going back to the primary term this should also be one of the first set of words used in your meta description. From there you could / should use it as in h1 tag at the top of your page. Used once or twice in alt image tag. Used again in the content with 5% density level. Use in an h3 tag mid page if feasible. and then used in the last 25 words or so of your page content. It should also be a link on your page. This then would also be the keyword phrase to use in backlinks to the page that you place on other sites or that others use to link to your page. In closing the primary keyword term should be the one that will drive targeted traffic to the page that focuses on the keyword term. Hope that helps clear up things... |

That's my thinking as well. I prefer to use only the primary keyword and sometimes the company name in the title to increase conversions.

Hi, when people are searching for something they want they enter certain keywords.
I can tell you how to get free keywords that are really good and how to come up with some good ones, but I'm not sure if I can post my site without getting to be to advertising. Anyway, I'd love to help if I can so email me at: forwardtosuccess@aol.com good luck, Cindy |

Primary keywords are those who are typically researched only for content of the website, not like other keywords, which are used to spread through the content. these should be having less traffic yet maximum hit.

Keyword will have a big impact on your website search ranking I would suggest getting a good/unique/will describe best of your site/pages. You need to read a lot about it before creating one...
