Question PageRank and Java Script Redirection

Hi All,

I've noticed that one of my sites has a PR of 0 which it used to be PR3.

The only thing I did was to use java script redirects to serve Google ads
based on the visitor IP and country of origen.

In my case I setup java script to redirect users from US and Canada to html pages
with a small banner on top of the pages.

Because setting up java script redirection was the only change I made, I assume that was the reason for my PR drop to zero.

Question:
Is there a safe and correct way to do java script redirections without loosing google page rank?

How do you know the javascript redirects caused the page rank drop? how do you know that the page ranked actually dropped? The toolbar PR is not accurate at all. So many other factors could be in play here.

Use php or something serverside to feed special content for special IPs. Search engines don't like people showing them other content than the one received by other users, especially if they can see this client side (done by javascript).

Hi,

Search engine unable to read the java script but they never penalize when you use it.

Use this tool to know about the exact page rank of the site DigPageRank Pagerank Checker Tool in over 700 datacenters

Hi
I know because java script was the last change I made to my site.
Also besides using the toolbar I also used a number of free tools to find out that my PR is 0 now

I understand that the toolbar is not accurate at all that's why I also used the link provided by subhzash which
is a great tool thanks subhzash.

Finally, I found out that my site map might have something to do about the drop of my page rank.
I have resubmitted my sitemap because of the following error message I got from Google site maps

Quote:
URLs not followed
When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot because they contained too many redirects. Please change the URLs in your Sitemap that redirect and replace them with the destination URL (the redirect target). All valid URLs will still be submitted.
I hope that by resubmitting my sitemap I can restore my original page rank

Jesse

To how many seconds did you set the redirect? Also, did you check your backlinks to see if any have been devaluated?
