Default My site hijacked by banner advertising?

I have an analytics account with MyBlogLog and was reviewing the data for one of my websites. I was surprised to see a substantial traffic spike ("extra referrals") for one of my sites. However, when I examined the referral source, I was shocked to see that it was a site that was really "hijacking" my site. It had a porn banner listed over the top portion of my site.

I noticed the root link was a major traffic site, 700K plus via compete. I think it's one of their users who is hijacking my site. I promptly emailed the site contact, and I am hoping he will suspend or remove the account ASAP. I noticed the domain (who.is) is owned/controlled by someone from the Netherlands.

Here's the format for illustration purposes:

http://xxxxxxx.com/go/3/30104/http://www.xxxxxxmysitexxxxxxxx .com

Here's my question. Is it possible to prevent this type of event from happening?

To add to the previous post, the offending site's admin has not emailed me yet but I noticed traffic from their site has decreased drastically.

But are there any thoughts/suggestions on my question?

Hi freeadlists,

I am sorry to hear about that. I am unsure as to what precautionary measure you should take to avoid further hacking incidents. I hope someone would reply here to shed some light so we will all know what to do.

Best,
Aurelius Tjin

Aurelius,

I thought I would get a prompt response, too, but I guess it's one of those unfortunate situations. I sent several nasty grams to the owner of the domain in the Netherlands and the hits from his site have drastically decreased. We'll see if it continues to decrease. Thanks for your response.
