Hi...this is Eric from NoviceSEO.com. Glad to be the first to post here. A little about me: I started NoviceSEO.com in April of 2007 as a way to document my learning experience in SEO. I had the choice of paying someone who wanted $12,000 over a six month period to do it, or I could attempt the project myself. I document everthing I did and sure enough, with the free advice I found on this forum and other blogs, I was able to move my site from 600 to 14 in 100 days.

No tricks, no blackhat, just good old fashioned SEO principles put to work. Feel free to stop by and check out the video I made talking about this project. There is also a list of tools that I used and continue to use in my SEO efforts.

Welcome. I am in the same boat. I started ThySEO.com as a way to help other webmasters get good rankings. I also did it to document my learning experience as you put it. I call it SEO Discovery Updates. My site is sitting at #4 on Yahoo for SEO Tips.

My biggest SEO priority right now is updates, especially my Home Pages.

What I also like to do is give out all my secrets. Webmasters are really too cocky anyway and just read them and shrug them off. What they really should know is that I make more money than the President of the US as a website owner and SE Optimist.
