Dynamic Web Templates

Could anyone tell me whether Dynamic Web Templates are search engine friendly? I am trying one out but as it adds a whole lot of extra lines in the head section I am wondering it this would mean spiders do not get to your content fast enough. Or do spiders ignore comment text.
