Hi all,

Just wondering what tools does anyone use to determine their current search engine position for various keywords?

Many thanks,

Well...there's always the search engines themsleves to find that answer. Just be sure you don't have any browser toolbars installed that remember your search history.

Also, if you have a Google webmaster tools account you can look at a dashboard that shows position in Google for specific keywords.

There are ad ons for Firefox and other tools that can do this work, but I think these tools/add-ons are not safe to use as they send automated queries to Google, which Google do not like.

I personally check 2-3 KWs, so I do that manually via searching in Google.

Free Monitor for Google - Web ranking and SEO software, website promotion, search engine optimization tools - CleverStat.com

Just do not overuse it, and do not check for more than 30, 40 positions.

The Digital Point tool is now working again. Its free, although currently limited to Google.com, Yahoo.com and Bing.com. That is, the rankings cannot be adapted to national search engines such as Google.co.uk.

Check top 1000 Page Ranking: Search Engine Results Pages | Google SERPs Position Checker shows up to 1,000 positions just in case your website sucks in SERPS, but is moving up this can be a useful tool

Yes I must say I use WebCEO as well and I truly love the results.

I can add in a list of over 500 keywords/keyword-phrases and let the program run in the background. There is a cost for this software but it truly does the job - it generates reports, allows you to check competitors, find related link partners, manage PPC campaigns, analyize link popularity, get traffic reports and so much more...

I use WebCEO as well, great product! It has many uses beyond just keyword search, tracking or analysis.

There are many SEO tools to know the current search engine position. SEO Elite, WebCEO, IBP are the popular ones. You can make a manual search too.
