Default Regional google results

are google now using regional results?

im searching in the uk on .com and the majority of the results are different to that which i usually get in thailand. most results searched on .com are showing .co.uk websites in their results. If i was searching on .co.uk i would understand this but it seems they have made the desicion for me.

I guess notsoold is quite right. They might be pulling out their search results on their nearest DC. And it happens not just in you but may also happen to other people on other countries.

It does happen to people all over the world - they are offered search results that are deemed most relevant to their geographical location.

Google have been using the regional search results for quite a long time.

If you open google.com and google.com.pk and search for a same keyword, then most probably you will see different search results.

The results depends on your location. Google is prioritizing the ranking base on the location. But you still have a choice if you want to target internationally. Just build quality links hosted on different countries.
