Yahoo! banded/blocked my IP and ultimately my website
I've been posting the past day or so indicating that Yahoo's 'Free Site Submission' link was broken while others tell me that it works just fine for them. I finally attempted to access the page using a different computer/IP address and voila... it worked. With one IP address I get a 'page not found' error, while on another it works just fine, anyone else experience this?
What could possibly be the problem is on the IP address that I believe to be blocked, I use a search engine ranking tool (Advanced Web Ranking) which determines my sites rankings in selected search engines for selected keywords. I've recently experienced problems in getting the Yahoo rankings, the tool indicated that Yahoo is failing to return results. Running the tool I guess I hit Yahoo roughly 500 times over a 2-3 hour time frame (50 keywords all checked at a page depth of 10 pages). Since they've blocked the automated tool from querying them, do you think Yahoo! has kicked us out/banned us from their rankings and blocked us from using their free submission tool? Anyone else ever experience this?
Since Yahoo dropped Google, although we are in their database (so no need for paid inclusion) I haven't been able to get our site spidered (and ultimately ranked in the SERPs), think this tool and its abuse on Yahoo! could be the root of all my problems?
