thanks,

you can promote it using networking sites or build a link on it so that many people can see it.

Being a Google property YouTube makes use of a search algorithm, which means that you can optimize the following:

1. title
2. description
3. tags
4. number of views
5. rating

Keep your anchor description length to just 27 characters– this is the maximum amount of characters you have for keyword placement before the “three dots” and the end of each video link on YouTube.

Make sure to include a clickable URL in the very first line of the description tag. The first line of the description is what appears so be sure to follow the limit above as excess characters are cut out so to speak.

Many have yet to realise that Google is the only search engine providing support for video sitemaps.

Submit your video sitemap to the Google Webmaster Tools account.

Make attractive
thumbnails to get more clicks. If you don't make your own G, will make them for you - no guarantee about their appearances.

I have less than 25 videos (not on YouTube) but the traffic is great.

Brief description is important which should tell the users about what's in the video, also use effective keywords tagging.

I have been playing around with Youtube for search and I can tell you that the tags and description are sometime interchangeable as to what displays in search. We have been trying to place a link in the description which seems to work but they are then displaying the tags in the search results.

I am still testing this but has anyone else seened similar results?

Arthur

Although Google truncates at 60-65 chars they index and weight more than that... the tests I'm familiar with found that Google indexes everything but only seems to weight 10 words, everything over 60-65 is weighted, just less weight but they are indexed and counted as part of title, over ten words is counted for page but nut given title weight. I've found that true on many engines and YouTube doesn't look to be much different. The number of words vary but they all pretty much weight more than they display in the results.

I haven't tried to optimize video, but I think its just similar maybe a little difference. I think social networking will work to drive traffic.
