The easiest links to get are usually the least effective.

Here are some of the better strategies to look into:
-article submission
-press release submission
-social networking profiles
-miniwebsites on sites like squidoo, hubpages, etc

There are many other strategies though. You need to experiment and see what works best for your particular website.

Building the links for your site is very imp for getting good traffic and good page rank in google. Here are some simple tricks for building the liknks with out buying them..

News and Syndication Build Fresh Links
Directories Will Help Create Links.
Network With Your Local Community.
Review Products or Businesses RSS-ify and article submission also helpes you to do this..
Also try Video submission and photo marketing

The best way is Forum posting and mor epossiblity to get BL and also buying links also good if have little budjet

Submit Your Link in related Directories
join Social networking site and put your link in your profile
Do social bookmarking
Post Article and Press Releases as much you can.

Yes Forum posting and article submission also plays a major role in building the Links..
i likes to know about the tools about the SEO which reduces the time .. Mainly the tools reg the Article Submission

aside from blogging for links, you can also use sites like ning and squidoo for your site... those are great ways to advertise your site and at the same time pass link juice to them.
