Hi I am new at Seach Engine Optimization, and my host created a under construction page for a week and now when I type in the key words in google "Grown Hydro" I get an untitled document indexed.
Please let me know what I can do Thanking you in advance, Jeremy |

You really don't have any control over Google's index. What you do is make sure that "under construction" page is gone from your server and eventually, Google will drop it from the database.
Just one more reason to keep tight control over your domain so that nobody is spreading links to your URL until you are ready for business. |

If you want to remove a page from index you can do it via webmaster tools.

I stand corrected!!! Now in the process of doing just that via webmaster tools.

I'd say the best favor you can do for yourself is get to know the Google webmaster terms of service and webmaster tools section. That will save you a ton of headaches!

I think you can just place a no index in the bot tags or in meta tags. Don't know exactly how to do cause I'm not good at it.

Also using meta no index is bad idea as it does not really stop search engines from showing up your page as a reference in search results. The best practice is to disable the indexing of unwanted site via robots.txt. |

For clarification, is the page in question your homepage, which is indexed with the old content? Or is this an alternative URL (such as /index.html versus your new homepage at /index.php)? These two issues will have very different solutions, because some of what has been suggested would cause your homepage to be delisted if that is the page you are having issues with.
