How to make google know your site update?

I have a site,an now it update some pages,now which way i can do to make google know my site has update?
I think submit it to social bookmarks is too slowly.Anyone can give me a answer?

My web also need more click. Except advertising on google or yahoo or paying money, there should be other methods. But i didn't know how get more pepole know my website.

Update your Google Sitemap and submit it in the Google Webmasters Tools.

this pretty much is the best way to do it, everytime you would do a change in your site, you can update your sitemap as well and send it to Google Webmaster Tool, if you would only be updating a few pages, then you can rely on SB sites, it wouldn't take that long anyways before it gets crawled by Google.

For a major update, resubmit your sitemap.xml via GWT. For day to day updates, just revise and upload sitemap.xml to your site root. Don't resubmit. Google will retrieve the file regularly, if it exists (has been submitted at least once) and it is valid.

Check your status regularly for errors or issues and fix them. Google will discover the repairs on their own.

Be sure to revise PRIORITY to match 'time erosion'; that is, lower the priority as items age, and give higher priority to new, recent, and still current (or relevant) items. This way, your important pages will find their way to the top of the heap.

Yes it is right just submit your site map in the Google site map tool so it will help you to solve your problem.
