Thumbs up To follow or to "nofollow"?

I would like to start a discussion about how the major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN currently treat the rel=”nofollow” attribute.

Share what you know or experienced so far.

I personally don't care how they treat it.. It's not my job to make their job easier..

But since they have given me the tool I tend to use it simply for sculpting PR..

Learn English buddy before you attempt next time to spoil a thread going off-topic.

Thanks.

I am not talking about PageRank Sculpting. I wan't a clear definition how every major SE perceive it and deal with it.

If that info is somewhere in the threads you posted, please be so kind and add the links to those posts here . When that is done, we can ask the mods to close the thread.

Thanks buddy.

Most of the blog owners make their blog comments link to nofollow. It helps to reduce comment spam. This links not consider as backlink by search engine.

From testing I have seen the SEs often still follow no follow links.

I have added no follows on my directory listings so I am not "selling links". To bad for my customers, it was also a great selling feature when I was able to show the power of my links.

I do not use the "nofollow" attribute for my blogs, and still they do not get spammed. How do you like that?

If they are still following and giving credit for the links then how is that bad for your customers?

I don't feel its good to violate the rules and regulations of the forum, by posting such comments which can cause disgrace to the members and to the forum.

Thanks!

rel=”nofollow” is an HTML attribute value that instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking during search engine index.

Some of my friends suggested me to use Fast Blog Finder. But actually I can not find much useful dofollow in my niche. Did someone ever use that software? Any comments will be appreciated!

I thought it does but it looks like it only ignores the PR distribution, and still follows. Not 100% sure .

Google Follows Dofollow concept.so if you want to get listed in google or you want high page rank then you must submit your site in Dofollow websites.
Yahoo is not following Dofollow or nofollow concept.so if you will submit your site in nofollow website then your website can also be listed in Yahoo.
For MSN i have No idea so if you ppl have plz share.
