I want to get one way back link from related website.
How can I get it? Why other related website would like to give me back link.

First thing you wanna do is make sure you have quality and interesting content that others might find useful and link to it.

When you have such a content you will need to make sure people find your content. You should use any marketing strategy you have (social media marketing, PPC or something else) to promote your site and content. If your content is really good eventually backlinks will come.

Because people who look after web sites are lovely - all you need to do is ask. If you don't ask, you don't get.

I asked for a link from the New York Times to my site about poodle pampering and they not only added a home page link but ran a advertorial with several deep links. Now its number one in Google!

Getting one way from relative site is little diff and can get reciprocal links .Better ways is to make by yourself by forums, dir, article submission, social book marking etc

Don't just buy the links, get them in natural methods.

I closed down many web sites because of their unsolicited emails. Be careful with that.

What about exchanging links with websites that do not have anything to do with yours? Does that help any or does it actually make things worst? There have been websites with high google ranking and alexa ranking asking me to exchange links but they sell kitchen cabinets for example and we sell bodybuilding supplements.

Everyone has their own personal way they get backlinks. I think Niche listed them pretty well. Do a bit of it all. Rotate it so its always changing. Get a routine and stick to it. Its something you will always have to do, so get a system together and stick to it. Good Luck.

Firstly - ignore Alexa - it is spyware.

Secondly - only go for related subject matter sites

Hi, Alexa is a toolbar - all toolbars including Google are spyware - they are designed to track the searches you make and then you will receive e-mail spam based on those searches.

Alexa pretends to be a judge of how popular your site is, when in reality all it can do is track information from those searches made by anyone who has downloaded their toolbar.

You are at liberty to express your opions - but, what you should bear in mind is that it is our task to ensure that 'wrong information' is not seen to be 'politically correct' - anyone daft enough to buy links may see some short term gains, but in long time terms it is not a wise move.

Google employs students to track forum postings, and if someone is advertising 'buy my links' then they will be tracked and dealt with. Those links are then feed to the bots to 'seek and destroy'.
