Is google in the middle of a PR update?

I noticed today that a page of mine which never had pr, now has a pr 2 (business-trader.com.au/fees.php

Does this mean google is doing a pr update? If yes, I am very dissapointed that after some heavy pr sculpting my homepage did no go up. At least it didn't go down...

Anyone else notice a change?

Not yet! What IP range are you on? For short.. What's your web site IP's?

Maybe there is some pattern in IP Addresses to track Google's behavior? If everyone who had received an update came and posted here we could work as a team to discover any paterns. Over time I can see this happening. But over time. Wouldn't really serve any good anyways. It would just help to know when I am next to get updated and that's it. Maybe give you a running head start to beef up those links and perfect your content even more.

I noticed at previous updates that Google before their major toolbar update, they assigned (+/-) PR to deeper pages.
When the major update takes place if your PR stays the same or drops even if you have done PR sculpting, obviously means that the PR of sites linking to you have dropped or have even been penalized.

Can you follow the logic?

I remember that I have told you that endless of times. Could it be that you did not believe me? Or have you just forgotten?

I wasn't aware that google assignes pr to deeper pages first. Hopefully my pr 2 deeper page is a sign of good things to come.

I can follow the logic and I am familiar with how pr works. If you read my post all I said was that if there was a pr update taking place I am dissapointed that my homepage pr didn't go up and that I was greatful it didn't go down.

Take it easy webnauts and try to lay off taking cheap shots at me in my threads. You are scaring me!!

First I am not taking cheap shots at you. Is that now how you express your appreciation when I after all helped you on the other thread for your robots.txt issue? It was an attempt from my side to bring back peace, but here I thought you were going to blame me again as you always did. I hope I have mistaken.

Yaa, google might be in process of updating PR, cuz i have a wordpress blog ( having PR=4 few months back) but after that it dropped to pr 3 ... suddenly for atleast last 2 weeks it was showing "No Pagerank Avaiable" .....buts much to my releif its again come back to PR=3...

they've had little minor internal updates about every two weeks since the last major export.

we got a load of new PR4 internal pages on 25 Nov and the one prior to that was on 8th Nov.

i think they may have scrapped the big one altogether and be updating one site at a time randomly now
