I was told by an SEO company rep that the keywords for the home page of my web site should not be repeated in the keywords for the other pages. (The keywords for my home page are all relevant to the content of the other pages.) He did not elaborate, except to say that it would be detrimental to my ranking. Does that make any sense ? Thanks

The keywords should be relevant to the page. Each page shoule really try and focus on a different keyword(s).
You won't be penalised for repeating the same set of keywords in the meta tags, so most SE's either ignore them or do not give a lot of relevance to them. CBP |

Using keywords on other pages might increase content relevance of this pages and thus increase value of links...
