Here is a strategy I am working on, what do you think?
I am working on a complete site redesign for a company. I have created three seperate blogs each with unique content. They are currently in the sand box but should be out soon. My goal is to have independent link building campaigns for each blog and the main company site. Then have the blogs build the keyword rich backlinks to the company site. I have really just started this and with the blogs still in the sandbox I have yet to see any results. Are suggestions on this strategy? |

Take care of not registering all domains on your own name, otherwise Google knows why these blogs are linking at the company site. Create a single Webmaster-account for each of your blogs for the same reason and don't forget to delete cookies when changing the account.

My thinking is that if you can create good content then put the lot on one site. If the content is excellent the links will evolve nicely.
Making life complicated for yourself, or attempting to anticipate what google might or might not do in the future - or even what they have done in the past is not a lot more than a guessing game, you will always be be lagging behind. Evolve your inbound link building from other site that match your topic. Spend your efforts on creating the content. Save the expense of creating extra sites. . It really is not worth the trouble . . . The pages you create are where the true value is, search engines and people alike eventually work that out, to be realistic If all that content is in one single place. . Google will appreciate it far better than running it around in circles. Users will find it faster. I think in 2008 you do not need too many front doors. You merely need to put up a single door that people want to get to (that's not easy) This is why site builders avoid it and create little tricks, little gateways . . . It does not work. Better to aim for one person. the company's customer . . .

P.S.
You can always send a friendly email to the owner of a well selected and influential blog, with $$$ attached. assistance from an influential Blog is Quicker (probably cheaper - and the results are instantly measurable) and gives you direct contact with another Blogmaster that has proven his ability. . (these are scarce) If your content is excellent - and all in one place . . Nothing but good results will occur... (Then you can simply add the fee $$$ to your bill with 10% on top)

Google has become registrar - guess why!
But no worries, it's not forbidden to have a corporate blog and to crosslink your site(s). But it's more efficient if Google doesn't know that you're the owner of them all. So the best way is actually to use a MU-platform (wordpress.com/google blogger) which is more anonymous. Cheers Frank (sorry for bad english) |

Hi,
The method you are trying to do is really effective. Its somewhat related to Info Product Killer system.. if you haven't heard of it yet, maybe you could get more guidelines from it since you're description to the method your trying to set up is really similar to theirs.. |
