Default Not showing in UK results any more after migration?

Hello,

I'm trying to resolve a problem up on my website.

Basically, I have a large well established (10 years) website in the UK that ranks very well for a range of established search terms in the niche and has 10s of thousands of backlinks.

After a recent site migration, the site gradually got worse and is now not showing in the UK specific SERPs. All the right stuff has been done regarding 301 redirects during the migration and this is all working. The site has been largely unaffected in the 'web' results, but when I do similar searches for UK only sites in Google for example, the results are now not appearing??

My initial thoughts are that it could be related to the new server hosting - using akamai to accelerate the site performance or something to do with the uploaded Google site map?

Any ideas?

As far as I'm aware, the site is hosted in the UK.

Hi relding

If your referring to your hamper link then try adding the following to your <html> tag:

Quote:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
I have used similar for a couple of years now on my client's .com sites and not had any problems.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

(It's not the hamper link site - this is a personal site) I'll try that html option though.

I can't really give out the link as is a high profile client site! Could I P.M you and I can let you know the site?

The thing that's puzzling me is that the problem has gradually got worse over the last week??
