Default Is One Better Than The Other

Hi all

I have a ton of new content going onto my site. Ideally, the content gets dispersed evenly...but I was wondering how much credence google gives to unique blog content...key word rich, etc... vs putting it anywhere else but the blog?

stated another way....does anyone know if more weight is given to one over the other?

regards
rick

I believe in putting my eggs in more than one basket.

Tons of content? You have enough to fill 2 baskets.

Nothing better than looking at important SERPs and seeing that you hold multiple positions because you have 2, 3 or 4 baskets.

Just make your content more "clinchy". Many of the site using word clinchers for you to be in a competitive world of page rankings. Some professionals says that "Blog is very important on spiders to crawl". But for me, generate your own idea on how to compete.

For the most part, I tend to agree with suesheboy.

Content added to blogs has the opportunity to rank well quickly based upon a variety of factors. As you continue to add content, it pushes what was already there further into to the blog so again, depending upon upon a variety of factors how long it remains where it started can change rather quickly.

Content added to a website tends to remain static, unless you keep moving it around. Can take a little longer to rank well but can be more stable when it comes to rankings in the long run.

So it's wise to consider what kind of "egg" it is to help determine the best "basket" to use.
