Default Google Will Not Cache My Page

I'm not quite sure why, but google never visits this page and I can't get this page cached:

Selling a Business - Sell Businesses Australia

I used to have it disallowed in my robots file, but removed it about 3 weeks ago.

Any ideas?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

watto

Is this another spam or self promotion attempt? Businesses for Sale - Buy or Sell Australian Business for Sale

Watto your going to have to be very patient. You were blocking the spider for a long, long time.

Webnauts, no this is not a self promotion attempt.

Incrediblehelp, yes it was blocked for a long time. I just thought that the next time my site was spidered it would be indexed. I guess I was wrong. I have gone this long without it being indexed, so I can wait a little longer.......

Why did you block it in teh first place?

If its not being indexed ensure you get some good links to it from other sites. I see that you front page is PR3 so a link from that ought to be enough, but if not just submit it to some social bookmarking sites and you should get crawled within a few hours.

It's going to take a while for Google to index the page... especially since the pattern has been that you didn't want their robot to index it. They use a LOT of different servers (PC's) so it will simply take a while for your new settings to be updated within their crawl schedule.

Having said that, there are some things you can do to help.

Make sure you are using a site map and that the site map has this page listed.
If you are actively involved with blogs, forums, etc... add a link to your sig file where appropriate.
If you have a list (and you really should), send out a notice to your list.

My basic philosophy: Activity Begets More Activity

Don't just wait on Google. Take some relevant and appropriate action and Google will catch up.

I think you are missing something here. Google shows that he has total 3030 pages.
2790 pages are in the supplemental index and only 240 pages are in the the main index. So do you really still think that the PR 3 he has on his homepage is such a great help?

OFF-TOPIC: I just wanted to mention that after a very long time, I managed a few hours ago to hack the supplemental index, and I am so happy that felt the necessity to share these great news with someone. I already IMed Incrediblehelp about it. Finally I can tell exactly which pages are in the SI, independent of Googles main index, cached pages (including garbage), etc!!!

1. You were talking about your bad crawl ratio.
2. Lets see where you will you be ranking in the next months, since it can take up to a year for Google to settle you final rankings after major changes. You already took out almost all nofollow attributes, so you have more pages indexed and sharing PR with.
3. How competetive are the terms you are ranking for? Can you tell some example key terms?
