Yahoo:Different Country results?

I am Australian and do my searching with Yahoo Australia and New Zealand but I do choose the total web search option rather than the Aus and NZ search option so I assumed I was seeing what folks in the US for example would see, but no.

The Aussie Yahoo company's results are completely diiferent for "all of web" searches than the Yahoo.com (US) search results. Any explanations?

Is Yahoo trying/testing a different logarithm on us?

The regional Yahoo's are/were still using Google. They should be changing over any day (some may have changed).

One thing I did notice in a big difference between Google and Yahoo is in how they determine sites from <region>. Google use the location of the server (eg Australia ) and Yahoo use the domain name (eg .au)

Thanks I think you hit the nail on the head! The Australian Yahoo co's results are just like they were before the change.

It had not dawned on me they would have a staggered release across Yahoo country companies.
