i doubt your step 2 because nowadays meta keywords aren't that important and sometimes triggered as spam

It is not spam as long as you don't repeat your keywords.

Hi Avoir,
1st of all let me tell you that it’s a good piece of information, I have one site of mine, where I’ve never checked the kwd density and never worked for the content keeping the keyword in mind, but I have got PR2 in last update (28th July)… I’m not sure what could be the reason. I have checked the backlinks & found I have no back links…

If you can help me finding the reason that would be great…

yes, people have been saying stuffs about this and most have been testifying that most tags today are spams. content is whats important as it always has been

Hi erikko,
I have not updated my site from past 4 months..
I had adsense code placed in it, and I never received my PIN so adsense account went for a toss. but I haven't replaced the script as well..

Just to be clear, if you actually USE those keywords in the body text in context (not just repeating them over and over at the bottom of the page for example) it wont be flagged as spam but the fact is Google completely ignores this tag completely although some second-tier search engines do still use it.

for me i don't think i have many tags included into body, but still Matt has given me PR 2..
SO i really don't know how it's working...
Currently I'm going through a SEO course and the instructor said me to have as much as keyword i can into meta kwd.
my question will this work in Google, as we all want to come up in SERP 1 of Google
