Default What do you leave for your blog name?

A little debate has been going on over at Under What Name Is Best To Leave Comments In Other Blogs? | Mr. Javo dot Com

I prefer to leave a keyword rich phrase when I comment on blogs. Some are reporting that they mark those as spam and not allowing them through. As most blogs have a nofollow tag, I'm not sure exactly why they care, but what do you think? Also leave a comment on the above blog.

My feeling is, if someone is willing to engage in conversation and even help carry it along, why not give them some link love? What are your thoughts?

I installed a plugin to remove the nofollow from the comments.

I think it's polite to leave name and surname. Leaving the keyword would make you look spammy and give a feeling you only care about backlink.

I always leave my nickname, not my whole name though, I like it when I can participate in blogs through comments and people would be able to call me JABO, not through keywords, there was a time when I used to use keywords as well but when I started using my own name, the activity in my blog grew as well for the blogs that I comment on, visits my sites as well from time to time.

Leave your name.. A lot of blog owners, myself included, have taken to simply deleting any post where the name is a keyword or phrase.. All that shows is that you are a whore using the blog to promote yourself and not contribute anything of value.. Just taking a link..

I always use my name or my screen name. I know on my blogs, that folks who are leaving keyword laden names are often summarily deleted.

I much prefer seeing more of an interest in the subject matter and comment being made. I want to be able to reply to a person not a keyword.

Save your keywords for directories etc. Use your name for conversations, discussions, and debates.

Dave

BTW... I'm getting a 404 from the link you posted.

In most cases I use my name and surname. But sometimes I add a keyword after. Depends on blog and past comments that already were aproved.
