Comma or not to comma, that is the question!
Hi there,
I just read some advice for the keyword meta tag. That separating the keywords with commas is not relevant, as they [the commas] are ignored by the search engines.
Well, but some would argue that in the age of keyword phrases, "red widgets, blue widgets" is not the same as "red blue widgets" in the keyword tag.
What do you think? Any studies that can confirm or dismiss this advice?

You should separate all lists like the keyword list with keyword - comma - space - keyword. This is the standard written list format and is the recommended way to separate keywords.
There's a lot of info online about this.
separate keywords with commas - Google Search

Re: Comma or not to comma, that is the question!
If you are using a keyword more than once because you are using keyphrases like i.e "blue widgets, red widgets, yellow widgets" you should better use commas, only because it can trigger keywords repetition/stuffing filters, or it can come to a spam team manual review, for example by Yahoo.
So if you do not use commas, it will look like this: "blue widgets red widgets yellow widgets".
And that is just a risk with no benefit!

Yahoo is the only one that really pays attention to meta tags anyways.

Does that mean that we should not be concerned?

Good argument for the Lynx source distribution directory browser.
Why all the cosmetics, when much is about words?
Make it simple as simple as possible but no simpler

Meant to say keyword tags, I still use title attribute and description tags.
