Default Can I Get Links From a Video?

I have uploaded a video of one of my products being used by my father, on my son - it's a riot but poorly done. Now I know how to do all of that part.

I will be making another copy w/o all the background noise and a title and my URL at beginning and end of the new video.

How do I get it (if possible) to be linked to (associated with) my website and gain any benefit from the YouTube video?

A competitor of mine made one and put a copy on their site - I ran a Google Alert on the URL and it's being linked to like crazy!

I would like to do this too. Anyone have a tip or a link for me about implementing this possibly?

Thanks a lot!

Upload it to youtube and use the proper description and tags so the YT page can rank.

Embed the video on one of you pages and promote you page with SEO. You also want to promote the YT page on your page. You hope that the video itself will appear in the Google SERPs for some keywords down the road.

Place your URL as the first part of the description.

Here's some examples:-

YouTube - Tie a Tie. How to tie a simple Windsor Knot.

YouTube - Collapse IE7 Favourites List Folders

Thanks for the Info! I appreciate it. I had a feeling you could do it right the YouTube. I did dee the embed code too after the video uploaded. I'd like to use their editor but it was 3am when I uploaded it and I didn't see what I wanted right away or have the video quality that I want .

No I'll know what to do!

You can also use sites like hubpages.com (just one example) to post your video and add copy (with a link back to your site of course).

That will hopefully help you achieve other results positions as incrediblehelp described.

All success!

Thumbs up Re: Can I Get Links From a Video?

Incredihelp hit the nail on the head. You can link to your site in your youtube description.

You can also link to specific pages within your site as part of your youtube description.

Here is a good example of this:
YouTube - Musky Mania - Extreme Tiger Muskie Fishing

You can also Embed the videos in your website using the HTML code generated for your site by youtube found on the right side under EMBED:

An example of this technique from my personal site:
Hangman's Reel - Jean Carignan Style | Jean, Carignan, Reel, Var, Hangmans | Wickam.net - Vi Wickam Fiddling Web Guru*-*Wickam.net - Vi Wickam Fiddling Web Guru

Another technique that you may also want to utilize is custom video players. Youtube allows you to embed your playlists in your website as well. Make a playlist of videos that you would want to show on your website, and create a page to put these videos on, and embed them. Custom video players can be created from your youtube profile.

An example of this technique:
Joe Venuti Videos | Joe, Var, Venuti, Videos, Netfiddlingjoevenutivideos | Wickam.net - Vi Wickam Fiddling Web Guru*-*Wickam.net - Vi Wickam Fiddling Web Guru

The custom video players will update any time you update your playlist.

Good Luck!

<please add your link to your signature CD>

Use your adsense youtube advertising and create links associated to your site with adwords. This will get your site displayed on all associated publishers players on their sites.
Simple really.
Have fun
