That's true if the page requires authentication and if the password/login fields are validated properly, the robots.txt or .htaccess files restrict the spiders and if page caching is disabled using scripting and/or meta tags.

Quite simply, there are several things that need to happen in order to have your bases covered.

Our own Webnauts published a pretty good tutorial on preventing your pages from getting indexed. It may not provide all the information you need, but it's a place to start.
