Default When do you decide to make changes for SEO

I would like a little input on how long to wait between changes to a page for SEO purposes. I tend to give things at least a month between tweeks when trying to improve SERPs for any given page / keyword but I have seen others going at it weekly. I think one month can give a good indication of trend but perhaps I should wait longer or not so long?

What has been your experience?

I will use and analogy from this

dmoz, some facts and fictions

thread: Submit and forget.

Concentrate on refactoring to better code (making your site faster and more userfriendly) and write better / additional content. Build, write, submit, SMO and forget.

Tweaking: To adjust; fine-tune.

Lots of work with little result.

Just build a good, optimized site and forget about tweaking. Spend that time on creating more content. It will get you a lot more visitors than tweaking.

Tweaking doesnt necessarily help in SEO. If you are really serious about scoring higher rankings, then consider adding fresh and unique content on regular basis.

Having plenty of useful content related to your business niche will surely help you gain higher rankings on search engines for a variety of keywords.
