Default Resubmitting Websites

ok here is a question that I have often wondered about. On our site we have done all the SEO ourselves and are happy with the results but would like better, obviously.

I have read the jargon from various SEO companies saying what they will do for your site etc etc. One of the things that was listed is that they will submit your site to the major search engines an a monthly basis.

Surely this is crap? Why would sites need to be resubmitted regularly to the search engines? Would you say that this is just padding out the service that they are providing?

There is never a need to submit or resubmit a site to search engines. If you are doing it, you have wasted your time. If you are paying for someone to do it or paid for some software to do it, then you have been scammed.

I received lots of email like that! I think its just a scam . . . As SEO we all do that jobs, submitting our site to search engines as just the same as visiting our site by different bots of the SEs.

It is nothing more than a way to scam money. I get people all the time telling me they went with another company because I want submit their sites to the search engines.
