Default Large info page or multiple smaller info pages

Hi all,
I have a large website and have a section for archived newsletters. I have each newsletter on a seperate page (January, February, etc), but the information on that page is not a great deal (about 250 words), so I was thinking, wouldn't it be better to just have the newsletters archive all on one page and you just scroll down to see the different dates. My guess is that a lot of information (relative text) on one page will make for better SEO.
Any thoughts.

A newsletter of 250 words? Perhaps you want to do something about that first..

Perhaps you can archive them based on content. So all the newsletters on subject A in one page, All the newsletters on subject B on another page, etc.

Helping visitors find information in your site is more important than how much text there is in one page.

Thanks for the input Peter. My products are better sold by images, hence the shortfall in text. That aside, this section really was made (news archive) for SEO as not too many of my customers would want to go and read about what I said in the past. Saying all this, what is your opinion on whether a page with a lot of information will be better for SEO than a page on very little information?
Cheers.

For your visitors and thus also for SEO, it is better to keep your pages focused. The amount of text in a page is irrelevant. Obviously, if there are very few words on a page, a search engine has very little to go on. Thousands of words on a page increase the chance that the page loses focus. But to a search engine the amount of words on a page is not a relevant factor. That means that they´re not going to count the number of words on the page to determine its relevance.

You might think that there then has to be a certain perfect quantity of words. But there isn't. One person will write 500 words to say the same thing that another person would write in a 1000 words.

It really is all about focus. What focus is exactly is difficult to explain. One thing I can tell is that focus doesn't mean how many times you repeat the same word on a page.
