Default Duplicate Content Question - Syndicating Content

Hi,

I'm working with a company that is building an engine for publishing review content to multiple partner site. In essence, they are acquiring reviews on products and then syndicating to category relevant partners. So the question is, what is the best way to set this up, so that the home site can both host all or a portion of the review and publish the full posts to partner sites without anyone getting dinged for duplicate content?

Options Include:
- publish a snippet on the home site and let the partner have the full post.
- use no-follows from the home site to the partner sites.
- change the format of the content from the host site to partner sites.

What else? Thanks!

Default Re: Duplicate Content Question - Syndicating Content

Well either way if you have whole of snippets on two different websites you can run into the problem of dups.

This really comes down to which website you want achieving the rankings. Once that is decided then focus the original full reviews there with snippets on the other website(s), while blocking the bots from accessing those pages.
