Default Changing SERP

My SERP constantly change on a daily basis. What I do not understand is why I type in a phrase and my site does not show up in the results. When I search again a minute later my site returns in the rankings. Why does my site disappear then reappear. This has happened numerous times only for certain phrases...any input is greatly appreciated

I dont think more links will help lol I'm sure some linking will give SERP a boost but that is not what is causing these discrepancies. Has anyone else experienced this?

Well, more links will definitely do no harm, but it's like going to a company and when they ask what to do to increase profitability you say:

"Hey guys, I know exactly what y'all need to do. Just increase efficiency and sales and you'll see those profits going up !"

doh!

Both Google/Yahoo do snake skin shedding once a month

They simply discard old results, and replicate new results across their database. It could be possible that you were testing rankings during skin shedding or replication period of any search engine. Your search engine rankings will show maximum fluctuation during this time ( if you are in the process of scoring top rankings for a particular set of keywords). It is more like a car which goes in 5 th gear, and then suddenly takes a reverse gear, then again 4th gear, and so on.

It looks like Google should be shown shedding its skin on Animan Planet

You could be observing this fluctuation only for your targeted keywords
This is just my personal experience of 8 years

The reason mentioned above is applicable to situation where you observe fluctuation in rankings within a span of 6-12 hours.

However your email states that you observe this behaviour within a span of 1-2 minutes. It could be possible that your BROWSER CACHE is conflicting with actual rankings shown by Google.

If you observe any fluctuation again, then try to use a seperate browser, and then see if your fluctuation is still showing. Or else, you should try to clear cache, history and cookies within your browser settings

I am sure it will help you resolve this issue

No such thing as perfectly stable SERPs anymore. has not been that way for years. With localization, personalization and everyone using different datacenters why would we expect to see the same rankings? Are you logged into Google when this is happening?

yes I am logged into Google when I notice the changes in SERP. Sometimes I am not on the rankings, but when I close the browser and search again my listing comes in at number 2. This is a huge discrepency. I would understand if I dropped a few ranks, but to disappear somewhere off the rankings seems strange to me.

Yeah. I notice it sometimes, I guess accessing different datacenter is the cause of different results.

There are two possible reason *my thoughts* first is, the SE has an
update that it made your site's ranking appear and disappear *sometimes
the location of your site was either up or down..*
.. and
or second SEs has a problem in their algorithm.. those are
the things I think the issues in your problem..

Right now, SEO Optimizers is coming up #1 on Google on my end.

I know my sites change in rank on an almost daily basis, but not from page one to not being found at all.
