Default Does page size matter

Does page size matter in SEO, ok I'm not talking about pages in MB but for example would a page of say 50kb rank any different to a page of 150kb... with all factors equal like keyword density and inbound links etc - or is it totally irrelevant??

Size and ease of accessibility play only a minor factor in SERP. I would not worry about it too much, unless it takes a long time to load the page. Then it will affect the click through rate as people do not want to wait for a large page to load now a days.

Focus on the content... page size shouldn't matter, but avoid going to long when it would make sense to paginate.

That is exactly my point.... I am seeing more and more smaller pages at the top of Google - do you think it is favoured because I think it does.

You do understand that google's speeder sees your site as a plain text and some tags. No pictures, no flash, no scripts... Without it all standard size web sites are almost the same size. So I'd say your theory might be a bit of wrong.

I do not think so, I think It matters with your content and link on your page, how it related with your keyword, whether all the content is moving about your keyword and more.
