Default Paying for SEO success

Do you think there are any SEO companies that take work on based on proven results..

The reason I ask is I have a company - Polefloats.com fishing tackle shop | gear for all anglers which is an online fishing tackle retailer, it gets a few orders a day and has been around for 7 years so it is a well established site - but it just doesn't do as well as it should - there is massive potential and it should really be doing 30 - 40 or more orders every day.

The business is there to be taken if it can get the traffic increased and this should be easier than with a new business - but I don't have a budget to say here are thousands of pounds to go and get it done correctly - however I would gladly pay a percentage or an amount per order generated, but does anyone offer a service like that?

I think I agree with ctabuk, the opening page the first bit you see, says your shopping carts is empty at least 12 square inches on my screen. There are Google ads, and a discount offer.

I would sincerely expect you would sell more if there were a nice offer to greet a visitor. I looked no further.

SEO. . is a not your biggest problem. .

It has serious 'structural problems' I ran it by SiteReportCard: Web Site Optimization and Promotion Tools and the HTML warning flags were all over it.

In response to the original question... yes, there are compaines out there. However, I don't think there are many. I've actually seen this model more with Online Video Marketing than SEO, and here's why:

The problem is that SEO takes time - results aren't instant. Thus, it's hard to maintain that client-consultant relationship over months and years if the payoff (for both parties) is over a long period of time. This would probably only work if you get SEO from your web hosting company (assuming they offer it).

Basically, you'd be better off using PPC if you don't want to pay the money up front (plus you can stop whenever you want, and decide your own budget).

A good SEO company might charge thousands of dollars for a year's service. But over the next 5 years, your site might get more than enough income to warrant the initial expense.

That's why most SEO companies won't offer that pricing structure.

The thing with paying a percentage of what you would bring in, is that seo's are not associated with your site and we would have to go on a trust factor, and on top of that you might not see the results for 3 - 6 months in the which case we would not start see any revenue for that time.

There are a number of sites out there that can offer you tips on getting your site up yourself, or you should think of hiring a consultant. Then once you are making the revenue you and get too busy, you can hire someone to do your SEO for you.

If you don't have the money, do you have the time to do work on it yourself?

I would recommend buying a new site - built with SEO in mind. From this point you should be able to get the site selling more and with a little self education (this forum is a great place to start) you can slowly start to increase your web presence and sales.
