Default How do I submit my website to the “new” yahoo?

Hi everybody, I am currently panicking as the traffic to my website has plunge nearly 50%. Most of my visitors were 50/50 google and yahoo. My rank in google is #2 on a particular keyword but I am nowhere to be seen in yahoo.

1. How do I submit my website to yahoo?
2. I heard of a good company called Position Technologies, shall I use them?
3. This yahooslurp, are they using inktomi database?
4. If I use inktomi’s PPC will my website appear in yahoo or does yahoo has its own PPC program coming out shortly?

Any replied would be much appreciated many thanks

Hi Leo
Yes Yahoo is now using a combination of the Inktomi Fast databases, and if you are not in this database you are missing out on a lot of traffic.

You can get into the database for free by waiting for YahooSlurp to come calling or you could use the free submit from BCentral (if you can find it -seems to be well hidden)or you can pay for the inclusion and very regular spidering for a few of your most important pages. PositionTech is one of those who can handle the submissions for you, there are others too.

Yahoo will have its own PPC program coming out soon, but I would find it hard to believe that they would not honor the inclusion of sites that paid to get into Inktomi as Yahoo own Inktomi, At any rate Positiontech should be able to advise you on this.
Good luck and review the optimization requirements for Yahoo before you submit.
