We have a new site with PHP, which offers the contents in English and German (you can choose via Flag, English is standard language). For us it is no option to invest into a differnt site as we mainly operate in UK and have just few customers abroad. Still, we might think about it in future...
My questions: As the content is pulled in via PHP includes the file names are always in English. Is there a way to make them German when someone put "?lang=de" onto the querystring? Also, can you buy a domain name without any hosting, but redirect to a website? What do search engines do when they encounter the link with the querystring (<a href="?lang=de">? Any help appreciated.
