Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
We have built good valuable content for our visitors to give them answers to frequently asked questions. Here is how we constructed so far:
Test Kit FAQ - TestCountry Frequently Asked Questions
Any practical ideas how we can go about with promoting this for SEO purposes?
Couple ideas I can think of please give feedback on the below and of course other ideas if you have anything to share:
1-) Submission of related answer URLs to forums / question-answer networks
2-) Social Bookmarking index page on high volume sites. But with only one or two accounts, would that mean anything?
3-) Write general topic subject articles and submit content to article directories
4-) Buy good links (never did that, does really mean anything)
5-) Anything else
If you had $1000 to promote this how you would do it?

What exactly do you mean 100 links for $1000?

Just keep making a site that everyone loves and will refer others.
Do that and you don't have to worry about SEO so much.
If you do this right, you will be benefiting for years to come.

$1000 -
1) post a well written press release on PR web ($200 level)
2) buy several 3 month or 6 month links on related sites ($300)
3) hire someone to write more content for you ($500)
you should also start a blog and ad a new questionevery day or every couple days to promote the site

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
Thanks Freelancedesigners.com and davidmg , great tips. I especially like the $1000 in the bank with interest rate.
I was hoping a suggestion for $50 in happy hour.
Press Release good idea, will do that. But other than that, you are saying I should just keep getting more content and thats it. I guess this is Ultra White SEO tip.
Any other tips?

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
Hi
"Put the money in the bank" Good idea
"4-) Buy good links" Bad idea. To be honest, so were a few of the others.
As a couple of people have suggested, forget a budget, there's no easy solution. What you need to do is concentrate on good. clean SEO for the long term. There are elements of your site teetering on the brink at present. Run a few pages through Copyscape, then your choice of bad neighbourhood checker (I'm aware of the business you're in). Take a look at sections like the one at the bottom of your home page, consider whether CSS set to none is the only solution for a situation.
I'm not suggesting you are setting out to do anything, it's just that when you put these sort of elements on the same site, they can trigger a certain interpretation. May as well look at your code validation as well, staggering number of theoretical errors but most might vanish by correcting a few essentials. You also have at least four possible URLs for the home page currently and presumably a canonical domain throughout, worth tidying that up.
All of this adds up and is contributing to you currently having nearly 90% of pages in the Google supplemental. Sorting these glitches will do more than you could achieve by spending a thousand bucks and give you a solid platform. A chance to create, to turn your site into an authority on the topics that are important. More natural links, more customers and built on security.

Spend the money on baby sitter and spend every free second you have learning the SEO basics through advanced techniques yourself. You will thank yourself in the long run.

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
As mentioned above I would certainly recommend spending $200 on a PRWeb Press release.
If you really want to spend the money another option might be instead of using PRWeb, try URLwire , which targets industry specific writers. $695, but could be well worth the money.

Some of the free marketing techniques :-
1) Offer RSS Syndication
2) Promote your RSS Syndicated links
3) Promote your website on related forums related to medical sciences etc etc.
4) Submit Free Articles pertaining to various sections within FAQ section ( make sure that articles promoted are unique and different from your own).
You can post your links ( women issues) on women forum, and ask live users for inputs.
If you think of purchasing links, it will be of less benefit as compared to above.
I am sure these tips will give you better marketing exposure as compared to spending $1000 otherwise.

I agree with Freelancedesigners.com - spend $200 on a press release at PRWeb. But I wouldn't rent links, you can buy permanent ones on blogs or other sites for that kind of money.

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
Spending $1000 is not compulsory, however, if you insist:
1. I would spend on PR distribution.
2. Publish Ad in high-traffic websites (with a nofollow definitely)
3. Get listing in Yahoo!

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
Submit to as many free general purpose directories as you can find as a start. This takes some time, but no money. Consider paying for a couple of the better ones: Go Guides, Joe Ant, Skaffe.
If that budget is burning a hole in your pocket, spend $299 on the Yahoo! directory (although I think that one is way overpriced).

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
I think adding content (via a blog, or hiring someone to write static pages) is a fantastic idea. Press releases also are great. Have you thought about offering PDF downloads? What about video/podcasts?
Here's another idea.... Why not just spend the $1000 on PPC ads (that could be a couple of months, depending on how you budget)? While this isn't exactly SEO, you will increase traffic to your site. If your site is worth talking about, word will spread. You don't necessarily have to use Google, but targeted PPC ads are a great idea.

In the interest of more discussion on the Supplemental Index, I have started a thread on that topic:

Re: Good Content, Inter-Linked, What Next
Let me ask the question again because reading results I am not sure if question is communicated well enough.
I am NOT talking about SEO for an entire new site.
The site in question ( Home Testing Kits & Home Hair Drug Test Kits or Urine Drug Testing San Diego) has been up for over 5 years. My question is what to do for SEO activity now that a new subdomain ( Test Kit FAQ - TestCountry Frequently Asked Questions) with FAQ questions are recently created and up. The feedback and recommendations I am trying to ask is for that purpose only.
So what to do that you have new content subdomain created with 100s of new pages on an old site. That is the question. I can see 50% of the answers apply that but the other 50% are simple learn SEO, get your site submitted to directories etc..
Thank you again...

Your only adding new pages and content essentially. Get it optimized and viewable to your visitors. It seems like your asking what do with my website now that I have content, which is a very general question.

I would read Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone - still relevant today (although could do with an update!)
