SEO by video submision!!!

I've searched the Internet and I've found some interesting articles
about making SEO, real good and efficient SEO, by just submitting
videos along with your web site signature on social networks like
youtube!

Do you know more on this subject? Have you practiced this?

I'm asking this because it's a lot of work to make a good Cratima
web site design movie for something that I don't know that works.

Norwegian Lasse - Hyperactive, got millions of views, and a lot of job offers from Hollywood etc that he declined.

What about a link to his site on such a video clip? He also got free Ad on the largest Norwegian Tv station NrK 1.

This is big ad business, but the competition is fierce.

This Norwegian meta SE, was started as an april first joke with millions of visitor that first months.

It is all about imagination, creativity and seeing the small details that other people overlook as Henry Ford once said.

One trick is to get someone with a lot of viewers to submit your video to their network, thus ensuring it will be viewed.

Submitting a commercial video to social video sites like YouTube expecting certainty is practically a waste of time.

explains it really well in a comparison of with other video promotion techniques.

People access the social video sites for entertainment and hot gossip, not to view advertisement. Additionally there are at least a dozen distracting thumbnails of other enticing videos around your video.

You need to get your video ranked well so it will appear when people search for it. To do that you need people to watch it in the first place. So you end up spending time trying to drive traffic to the video.

SEO for video and direct organic onsite effect. May be not. There may be indirect effects, though.

In addition to offers from Hollywood, he got offers from MTV that he also declined. His name / nick / company name could have been linked in and as such increase traffic to his site / page.

Links are links. New types of websites also use links and if they´re very popular websites then the links from these websites also have more value. It´s not because they´re social network sites. It doesn't really matter what type of website it is. What does matter is if the page the link is in, is related to the page it is linking to.

Basically, it´s the same old same old. Just that WEB 2.0 sites are more than a bunch of words in a page. In case of YouTube you actually need to make a video,.. And since that has a much bigger visual impact, you do want to make it a good video. (though if you mess it up, the chances of a lot more people watching it, increase of course,.. )

If by SEO you mean getting direct traffic from sites like youtube, after they see you video, yes, it works well, and specially in the most searched topics like, music, tv series, meaning, everything that has a media side, like music videos, but also a text part, like a biography about group, fansites.
When I tried instead of getting traffic with tutorials it didn't work at all.

I did this a couple of months ago. See YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. my video comes out top for searching for spray tan or spray tanning. I have a number of people who have linked to the vid and I do get some traffic from the vid - it is important to also ensure that you write a good description as well.

The video is also embedded on my site, so not only do I get some traffic from youtube, I can show clients how tanning works PLUS (and it is a biggy) having a decent video improves the visitors view of how professional the site is.

If you can do a vid cheaply enough but still have it with a decent quality, then go for it.

Submitting Videos with site's signature is one SMO (Social Media Optimization). It is one strategy for SEO...Aside from link building, onpage optimization etc...

not SEO, it is Internet marketing.

Web sites like Youtube, Google Video, etc., with high PR, are
very good for SEO (if you post a video, and you add your
keywords, and someone searches for them, your video should
appear in the first three pages, or so, and thus people would
hear easily about me).

Of course you can use SEO for your video, in order for it to be
indexed better by search engines, but this depends on the web
sites that are hosting your video. I've heard that some of them
use nofollow in their source code.


I will make a video in collaboration with a marketing company.

I agree with you and think that if the video is good will bring
traffic to Cratima Interactive web site regardless it is well
indexed by Google, Yahoo, etc.... or not.

People will promote it better than spiders.

(the technical side of) SEO does nothing without promoting your website. Technically, links help to increase rankings, but the reason why links are so important is that they represent the popularity of a site, which in reality is an indication of how well a site is marketed.

The technical SEO understand how the links increase the rankings but doesn't understand (or care) why. The result is often a huge job in getting links, rather than a good job in marketing the website.

All things being equal if there were two pages and one with video on it you think it would rank higher in the SERPs than the one without. Because it is offering the viewer more content. That's just my thinking and that is what SEO and Video can do.. other wise its a part of Internet marketing.

Yes, I do agree that with more links (as said by Peter) to the video, you will somehow improve SEO.

Videos that are interesting and informative will catch attention as locally here we have a new video advertising classified ads that hits the roof.

I always believe if you have quality video, products, services, etc ... you will just need to tweak a little for SEO. Main focus is still for the audience.
