Question Spiders Crawling Blog!

Hi Members

I recently created a blog (nearly 40days back).

It's not at all indexed.

My querry is - Is there any certain amount of time that the blog will be crawled?

I made my blog as per Google Guide Lines, but of no use. Are there any chances for my blog being crawled in the world of millions of blogs?

Regards
Tushar

Have you submitted your blog? Have you created a sitemap? Have you promoted it at all? If they don't know you're there they can't put you in their index.

Like everyone said above you can just build it and sit back. You need to get many back links as well.

Blog directories - there are hundreds of them. Submit your blog to 10 this week, 10 next week and so on. Just Google "blog directory" - should be a million or so places to get a backlink from

Submitting your blog to blog directories and building back links will help you to get indexed..

Once a site is up and running, you must create an XML sitemap and submit it to Google, Yahoo! and MSN. You can automate your site map creation here: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/.

Then create a Google account and list the site map in WebMaster Tools. You'll need to verify your site before they'll crawl. You can also use this account to see how many of your pages are indexed by google and how they are ranked.

Then you should work on getting back links by first posting your blog to the directories. Here's an extensive list of directories: RSSTop55 - Best Blog Directory And RSS Submission Sites - Robin Good' Sharewood Tidings

If your blog has an RSS feed, (and it definitely should!) then you can submit the feed URL to directories as well, see the list above. Be sure and set your FeedBurner account to ping your blog automatically.

Finally, remember that SERP's are great, but it's real people who will be reading your blog, so be sure to consider creating accounts and profiles at the social networking sites as well. They do drive traffic to your blog/site and increase incoming links which is all good for your site in the end.

Is your blog set up to ping the update services? Are you using tagging? Have you claimed your blog at Technorati? Are you a member of mybloglog.com? Have you submitted your site to all the directories listed at Vilesilencer? etc etc etc.

In my experience, simply setting a blog up to ping will ensure it gets spidered usually within a few hours. That doesn't, however, guarantee you traffic, it just gets you a good head start on ranking and getting the word out.

It's obvious you have some work to do. The people who said "Build it and they will come." were NOT talking about websites!

Default Are you afraid of your blog?

Just one thing, are you so afraid of letting us know where we can find your blog?

40 days is too much to get crawled, it rarely happens if your keywords are highly competitive or if it has some sticky items.

just tell where your blog is and we MAY be able to tell you what exactly to do.

Thanks

along with getting your link in your signature here and pinging the site update services, another good way to give the spiders a little nudge to come to your site is to find a blog post on a popular blog related to yours and create a post linking back to theirs using a trackback, which will typically in turn get you a link back to your post from theirs.

Actually blogs are easily index.. Just continue updating is reason why blogs are index faster.... Try to add more contents..

For me my blog was index by Google 3 to 5 days time... I updated my blog almost everyday...

I have started posting my blog in blog directories.

No, giving reciprocal links waters down the benefit. You need to be selective there. The ones that are going to give you benefit, like Technorati (remember to claim your blog!) are the ones that are worth doing.

Try this list, VileSilencer has done the work for you:
