How to improve Alexa Toolbar Rankings?

Can any bodyu share his experience that how can we make best use of Alexa Toolbar and how can we increase the Alexa Toolbar rank?

Easy, just install it on your computer and visit your site every day. If you want it to go up faster have your friends do it, too. It really is that simple.

Also, you shouldn't care about Alexa rank. No one else does.

Couldn't have said it better myself ;)

There used to be a javascript hack that would count every visitor as an Alexa toolbar visitor... but I think I heard that was patched...

Thanks really. My Alexa rankings have shoot up in days. I requested all of my fellows and community members to visit my site daily after having alexa toolbar installed. This thing really works..!!

But, i belive that it is not useful, i should concentrate to improve my website contents to gain real traffic.

what you said is the key to a successful website. of course, backlinks don't hurt, but content is what the search engine reps have been pushing for the better part of 2 years.

alexa likes

Sites in dmoz.
Sites with alexa reviews.
Sites with good related links in alexa.

Now, if you are able to get your site linked to from say, php.net, than your link can get distributed to us3.php.net, us1.php.net, PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, etc.. they are mirrors.

Since php.net rank is super good, having all those as backlinks can give you a super boost.

I like working on my alexa ranking, it impresses advertisers maybe.

easy. add alexa tool bar to your site. ask you visitors to download the tool bar. Next time they visit your site, alexa will count the visitor. In this way you can increase the alexa rank.

Hey kauzy,

I did what everybody shared in this thread. I also followed your instructions and believe me, this trick really works. Alexa has increased my websites' rank twice in a week. The reason while may be is, I told my customers to install the toolbar and then surf my website. Alexa really counts every single click and assigns the improved rank accordingly. If we have to make many clicks on the website, then why should not make every click, a valuable click!!!

Why do you want to increase the Alexa rank for? You get NO benefit from it.

Good question. I too, know this fact that Alexa toolbar and other such ranking + rating sort of tricks are gimmic. Flow visitors traffic is only possible due to the quality content of a website. But actually the company representative where i am workign as a trainee, ordered me to improve the Alexa Rank. Although i shared all those positive concerns abot SEO, but after all Boss is boss. So, i have to follow him

Isn't it a simple answer

just install it in your computer , becuase alexa rank is influenced only by visitors with alexa toolbar installed on their computer
