Default Do I need to register a new domain name?

Wristband (cotton sweatband) is one of our best sellers. Some keywords, like "Sports sweatband", "Sports sweatbands", "wrist sweatband", "sports wrist bands", "sweatband" can be ranked in the first few pages on Google. Since it's really a good product, and I believe more customers really need them, you know, we only sell it at $0.92 and our competitors mostly at $3 or $5, so we want to do better SEO.

We are a sporting goods specialized site, www.atafa.com. To get a better ranking for the wristband, do you think it's useful to make a special page on ATAFA.COM or do we have to register an indivial site like wristbandsweatband.com or anything of this kind.

SEO is only helpful to the homepage?

Pls help!!! Many thanks.

I think you should better register your own domain and then promote it cos in it name you show what you do exactly

I disagree. If your shop (http://www.atafa.com) has been online for a while and people actually buy the wristbands from http://www.atafa.com (which I am guessing they do), then you definitely should create and promote the product within the http://www.atafa.com website.

It should be much easier to get a page ranked under the http://www.atafa.com domains than building a whole new website.

Put the money into overhauling your main site. It could use some work on both appearance/useability and SEO. It is missing the basics, as your home page and your wristband page have the same title (with the exception of the tail end which is so long nobody can see it) and missing any use of headings.

I agree with incrediblehelp. But if you are not having sales from www.atafa.com domain then by setting up another to complement it will be a good idea. Remember not to duplicate the content instead add something that can complement it.

I am going to answer your primary question, and then jet off on a tangent.

I would stay with your current domain name, and then optimize your site for your keywords.

Tangent: If your competition is selling the same products for $3 to $5, and your visitors already know that, then they might be perceiving your product as being of lesser quality, since you are selling yours for $.92.

My suggestion would be to double your current price, and then use your extra profit to hire a copywriter to better explain to your customers the value of your products and the reason you can sell for so much less than your competitors.
