Default Best Keyword Tools

WPW, help needed. Today I was trying to open the famous link of Overture keyword tracking tool (http://inventory.overture.com/d/sear...ry/suggestion/) and the page was down.

This brought me to asking for your help.

Can you recommend good keyword tracking tool that provides fair stats about traffic to keywords (I know that fair stats is a highly disputable issue, but...)?

This can be some software or script or web form, but the one that you have tested and reply on in your business.

P.S. If for some reason you are affraid to post it here, please PM me - I am even ready to use your affiliate link ;)

That's a toughee.... the problem is most of the software which is free is powered by the overture tool, at least as I understand it. Google has its own tool for adwords, but that may not be suitable depending on your needs. Personally, I'd swear by a thorough knowledge of your customers (ask them what they'd type), that works the best in my experience...

Thanks for the help, Joel. I know it's a tough task, but I need to launch one project and with all fuss about creating personnel it got out of my mind that for a long time I've been trying to find something worthy.

And now I am stuck on finding something good :(

there's already a thread on this exact topic below.

I just stopped byu to take a break from keyword research and am using digital point, which includes both wordtracker and overture info. Seems to be what most people agreed upon in thread below.

It's free. It's here:

You could get a free trial of Keyword Discovery (not an affiliate link). I'm sure the free version is limited to only a few results, but it'll give you another alternative to Overture/WT.

SEOmoz has keyword-related tools as well.

Default Somebody Build the Keyword Research Bomb-Diggety.

If I were a stronger coder, I'd develop an all-in-one keyword research tool that pulls from as many openly available APIs as possible, and features an easy export-into-text feature like WordTracker's. The SEOBook tool comes very close, but lacks when it's time to export.

There are a couple of good, free tools mentioned above, but the outputs can be so very different. Wouldn't it be great to get all your 'shopping' done on one site?
