What do you all (y'all) think about using <noscript> tags for additional content and for links to you prother web properties?
from what i can see - content andlinks within a noscript are picked up and add value but what do you think? |

First welcome at WPW.
You should use the noscript tag for your scripts, and will be picked up from Search Engines. But that is not the main reason. You should use it for your site accessibility and usability in the first place.

Understood but in reality how many people are blocking scripts? most sites do not use a noscript tag.. and therefore... what would they see?
seems like a way to add content for seo purposes without benefit to most users... gray hat? |

I only know that it is senseless, as keyword density is out, and such crap is spamming and unusable for users. For example, there's nothing wrong with putting your links in the noscript tag if you have, say, a DHTML menu that can't be read. The same if you have a site using frames, and you are using noframes. With those tags, you are just helping the search engines get to the information they are trying to get to anyways. Is that clear enough?
