You are researching keywords for
SEO and everywhere you look “experts” direct you towards Wordtracker. Why? It’s not as if Wordtracker is free. You also get amazingly accurate insight into what keywords your competition value and neglect. How? Simply, if it is costing you an arm and a leg to get your Adwords Ad on one of the top spots, you can safely assume your competition have also optimised very seriously for that keyword. Conversely, if it costs you 5 pence to get a top spot you can assume you have found a keyword that your competition have probably neglected in their
SEO.
Don’t assume that keywords your competition neglect are not worth looking at. It might be the case that they aren’t but the only way to find out for sure is to find out for sure and you can do that by looking at your Adwords campaign history (taking account of impressions, etc).
So why doesn’t anybody recommend this? Why is this probably going to be the first time you have seen this approach in print? Why is it the first time I have seen it in print?
