Yahoo showing Inktomi in places

I noticed when doing a search just typing in www.yahoo.com that it is google results however if I do a search and view bysearch engines at www.dogpile.com the yahoo results are from Inktomi. The search term used was wholesale sterling silver. Are they getting ready to switch?

Yahoo said they will be switching to their own technology Q1 2004. They have been testing inktomi for a while now though. I saw them for a few days a while back.

I was away this weekend at
This SWEPAevent over the weekend so I wasnt checking those stats while I was away.
Has anyone else seen this robot, and what have you noticed it's habits are? Any tips yet for SEO'ing with them?

I'm going to try some tests and see what I can turn up.

Yahoo, for the search term "bicycle," delivered pure Google results on 2-10-04.

For "cars" the results were different, then the same, then different again a little later. Google's shuffling something today I guess.

For the what I imagine is a fairly unsearched term "wednesday," the results were the same in Yahoo and Google.

Any other tests out there?
