Default Linking procedure

Hi all!

We have a link block at the bottom of our website (vacation rentals) put together by an individual also in the vacation rental business. He enlisted the cooperation of 30-40 similar businesses all over the country and we exchanged reciprocal links. You can see them here:

www.casasderuidoso.com

I know the big push these days are on back links rather than reciprocal links, but it actually has seemed to help PR. This has been a group of simple text links. Now, he wants to change the text link block for a piece of code that will create the links dynamically. Somehow I just can't shake the notion that while this will produce a block of links alright, but that the only link the search engines will see on our site is the link to the code. Am I worried about nothing? Any insight appreciated.

Thanks!

"Am I worried about nothing? Any insight appreciated."

Basic honesty, is noticed by webmaster looking at your site.

"the only link the search engines will see on our site is the link to the code."

I think that I would presume the webmaster was, A two faced, sneaky bastard . . (not a good first impression).

Thanks Tubby and Webnauts!!

I rather suspected this. I just got a sample of the code and voila...the only content is just a link to his website. Sigh, it was fun while it lasted.

Take care!

Well, seems like he is taking advantage over this for his own site. As the saying goes - It is nice while it lasts ...
