Ive asked many times about dynamic websites and how do search engines index the catalogue pages which in my eyes do not exist on the web untill a query is made.
I personally believe that static pages rank better than dynamic pages. Any takers? We are launching our new website soon. We want to make our homepage dynamic so that all the info comes from our database so that pictures of products on the page are always fresh, promotions all incorporated etc.... Before going ahead with lots of nice bright ideas I wanted to check. Will a dynamic home page have as much chance as a static home page at ranking well?? cheers ste |

mod_rewrite, closes the case for you. Lets you use a dynamic build, but makes it appear like a static page. Life is good.
